Local trust.
Nationwide support.
One partnership.
Self-managed home care for older Australians. You choose the local people who come to your door. We hold the registration and handle the claiming and compliance behind them.
Built for self-managed care from the
ground up.
Self-managed isn't ordinary home care at a discount. It's a different service. You pick who comes to your door, you can see where every dollar goes, and things happen without you having to chase them.
Faster response
Routine questions get answered straight away, whatever the hour. Anything harder goes to someone who already knows your situation, so you're not starting from scratch or waiting on a callback.
Financial clarity
You always know where your funding is. Claims, payments and invoices show up as they happen, so nothing arrives as a shock at the end of the quarter.
Faster approvals
A new local partner can start as soon as they clear their compliance checks. Paperwork doesn't hold up your care.
Simplified compliance
Worker checks, insurances and expiry dates are tracked for you. The government paperwork happens in the background.
You shouldn't need a spreadsheet, or a Tuesday off work, to keep your parents at home.
You can see what's been booked, what it cost and what's left, from wherever you happen to be.
- Check the budget at midnight, or approve a new worker from the airport.
- Simple questions get an instant answer. Harder ones reach an expert the same day.
- Keep the workers you already trust. Signing them up usually takes days.
Four at the table, and you only
tell your story once.
Self-managed care works when four parties behave like a team. Pricing and technology matter less than that.
Client
The older Australian whose funding this is. They make the decisions.
Family
Usually an adult child or partner handling the day-to-day. We treat them as a client, not an emergency contact.
Local service partner
The local business doing the actual work, and the people you see each week.
Partner with Care
Us. We hold the registration and take care of claiming, compliance and payments.
Our pricing is competitive. What happens
after you sign is the real difference.
Self-managed care costs less than care-managed, and our pricing sits in the normal range for it. The differences show up elsewhere.
Standard care-managed provider
- Fees typically 30–40% of your package, leaving less for actual care hours
- A coordinator assigned to you, available on their schedule
- You're told what's in your care plan. Changes go through a process.
- Monthly or quarterly statements, so you find out after it's spent
- Adding a new worker or supplier takes weeks, sometimes longer
- Preference to use own workforce and set own schedule
Classic self-managed provider
- Cheaper than care-managed: typically 10% care management plus a service loading
- Lower fees, but the experience is transactional. You're largely on your own.
- You choose your workers, but getting answers or approvals still takes time
- Spend visibility lags. Statements arrive at end of period.
- Onboarding for new suppliers follows traditional timelines
The partnership model
- The same structural saving as any self-managed provider
- You hear back the same day, and routine questions are answered on the spot
- You choose everything, or work with a local partner you already trust. We don't steer you
- Budget, claims and payments update as they happen
- New local partners ready in days, because we manage compliance
Questions we get a lot.
What's the difference between self-managed and care-managed?
With care management, a provider coordinates your services and makes decisions on your behalf, and charges 30–40% of your package for that privilege. With self-management, you choose your services, your workers and your schedule. The provider handles claiming, compliance and the government-facing work, and charges around 10–15% of your package. You keep more money for actual care hours.
What is Support at Home?
Support at Home replaced the old Home Care Package system on 1 November 2025. It's the Australian Government's funding program for older Australians who want to stay living at home. Partner with Care is a registered Support at Home provider, so we handle all the government compliance and claiming on your behalf.
I manage Mum's care. Can I see her budget from my phone?
Yes. Family members get their own login and alerts, showing the budget and every claim and payment the same day.
How fast can I see where my funding is?
Immediately. Claims and payments appear as they happen rather than at the end of the quarter.
I'm a local provider or supplier. Can I work with you?
Yes. We work with sole traders, small allied health practices and established providers.
Keep the people you already trust, with a national provider behind them.
